The name means "Sea of Milk," and when you see the milky-white water cascading down the dark cliff face, you will understand why. The falls are most spectacular during and just after the monsoon (July to September). The trek through the forest to reach the falls, crossing streams and railway bridges, is an adventure in itself. Fontainhas — The Latin Quarter
Fontainhas, in the heart of Panaji, is a charming neighbourhood of narrow winding streets lined with colourful Portuguese-style houses, art galleries, boutiques, and cafes. Walking through Fontainhas feels like stepping into a Mediterranean village. The brightly painted buildings in shades of yellow, blue, and green, the wrought-iron balconies, and the bougainvillea-draped walls make it one of the most photogenic areas in India. Spice Plantations of Ponda
The area around Ponda in central Goa is home to several organic spice plantations that offer guided tours.
